IMDb – World’s Largest Internet Movie Database Now Available as App

The most effective way to learn English, or any language for that matter, is to work with material you actually find interesting, so you’re not just passively trying to absorb boring grammatical rules. That’s where IMDb comes in – as the world’s largest online movie database, it has an abundance of information on films, trailers, plot synopses, actors (including biographies and filmographies), screenshots, related news, etc. IMDb also provides info on television series, including listings and actors. Entertainment industry fans who want to learn English are in luck – with this app they can stay up-to-date on the latest films and TV shows while strengthening their language skills at the same time.

SKY.FM Radio – Best Internet Radio App for Background Music

SKY.FM Radio comes from the same developer as an app we reviewed earlier this month, Digitally Imported Radio. SKY.FM has over 35 stations, all of which are uniquely programmed and focus on playing music. Channels cover a variety of genres including Pop, Rock, 70s and 80s, Classical, Piano, Jazz, New Age, etc. The selection is decent, the connection is stable, and buffering times are short, making SKY.FM a good-quality Internet radio app.
